This pathway allows you to explore theology within the context of families, and young people. Potential modules you could study with us include: 

  • Values, Policy and Practice in Children and Family Work/Youth Work. 
  • Introduction to Theology and Human Development in Childhood and Adolescence 
  • Basic Playwork Skills in Children’s Work Practice. 
  • Introduction to the Bible, Discipleship and Mission.

An introduction to Theology, Ministry and Mission in the context of Children, Youth, and Families for those who are looking to take the next step in their academic journey.

Entry Requirements

Flexible entry, depending on experience, employment and education.

  • Normally one A-Level or equivalent
  • For mature students, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal academic qualifications.

Course Duration

This course can be studied part-time across two years and is offered through a mix of onsite, online, and off-site residential teaching.

40 credits.

Diploma and BA Awards

You can extend this pathway to complete a diploma or BA in Theology, Ministry, and Mission by transferring onto the Theology and Practice pathway following completion of your Certificate. This route still allows you to base the degree on your own context and learning from Children, Youth, and Families.
