The student body at Luther King also has a strong sense of identity and organise their own events and stay connected through digital means.

For this academic year, the Student Body President is Tom Miller, supported by Jo West and Ed Lyne. They will be the voice of the student body during meetings, organise social events, and represent our mission during their term.

Each year the student body appoints officers to help ensure that the needs of all students are represented.

The officers elected by all the students help enrich our life together by organising events (such as community quizzes, film nights, craft events, activity evenings, charity fundraising and more). They, along with course reps, also liaise with staff to offer feedback on opportunities to continue improving our centre and academic programmes, any issues or concerns that might arise, and share ideas for the future.

The student body has its own students’ union, which is a member of the National Union of Students (NUS). With the help of the student officers, you will be able to apply for a Students’ Union TOTUM (NUS) card that qualifies you for student discounts, from food to travel and tech.

So, whether you are a Midweek or Weekend student you will be invited to be a full part of the community at Luther King. This happens through different opportunities, for example, the Annual College Service, Residentials for Weekend students, Tuesday activities for Midweek students, as well as tutor groups.
